Modified garbage collection jobs, upgraded to SL5.

MK -- Upgraded to SL5

MK -- Modified cron garbage collection jobs, changed /data/users/root ownership

Realized that cron garbage collection jobs could delete the top directory, which includes /tmp, /home/mis, etc. Modified garbage collection jobs to only remove subdirectories and sub-files on all nodes. Modified extend-compute.xml as well.
Also realized that /data/users/root is owned by the GN root, not the HN root. The backup script, operating on the HN, was failing to backup files to /data/users/root as a result.
